A product of the Highland Football Academy in Dingwall, Archie signed a youth contract with Ross County in 2006 and remained a County player until 2013. He had loan spells with Forres and Elgin before joining Nairn County in the summer of 2013. Arhcie was an instant hit with the Station Park side with his quick dribbling, running and vision being a real asset to Nairn. This attracted the intrest of Elgin City who signed him the following summer and he remained a vital part of Elgin's SPFL2 side who narrowly lost out of promotion over the last 2 seasons.
